According to a formal statement, “Avesh Khan is recovering from a sickness and has been advised to rest by the BCCI medical team.” Avesh Khan’s Asia Cup performance was subpar. India lost by five wickets against Pakistan and subsequently by six wickets to Sri Lanka in their two Super Four matches.
