The final two T20Is between India and England saw Virat Kohli score just 1 and 11 points.

The strain on Virat Kohli has intensified as he continues to bat ineffectually. The calls to replace former India skipper Virat Kohli with younger players have grown as players like Deepak Hooda have impressed when Kohli was with the team or rested from the side. He should be dropped if he doesn’t perform well, even though he is a “known player,” according to Kapil Dev, the former captain of India.

This particular comment from Kapil Dev was provided by the International Cricket Council.

“Choose players that are currently performing well when you have a plethora of other possibilities. There is no substitute for looking at the player’s present form before making a decision. There is no guarantee that you will be given another chance if you fail to win five games in a row, regardless of your status as a renowned player “According to Kapil.

As Usman Khawaja of Australia responded to the tweet by claiming that India’s opponents would appreciate the decision to remove Kohli from the T20 lineup, he came up with a hilarious answer.

Khawaja commented on ICC’s article, writing: “At around 140, the average is 50. That’s a wise move. Australia is on board.”

The comment received over 18,000 ‘likes’, with screenshots of it being shared on Twitter by a number of users.

Only one and eleven were Kohli’s scores in the final two T20Is against England in which he appeared.

Having the T20 World Cup in Australia scheduled to begin in October, India would be hopeful that Kohli can recover his form sooner rather than later.
