In the upcoming season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League, Abu Dhabi will be known as the New York Strikers. With the inclusion of the New York Strikers, the tournament expands to eight teams, with two new American teams joining the fray. The Strikers franchise has enjoyed success as a cricket franchisee in the USA and aspires to grow internationally by joining renowned leagues like the Abu Dhabi T10. Yuvraj Singh, a mysterious left-hander who played in the 2019 Abu Dhabi T10 league, has joined the team as the team mentor.
The Strikers franchise, owned by Sagar Khanna, who has had a fervent love for cricket since he was a little boy, stands for harmony both on and off the field and an unwavering passion for the game.
I’m thrilled to be a member of the Abu Dhabi T10,” Said Sagar, “For our franchise, this is a very exciting time because the Abu Dhabi T10 is special and very competitive, attracting top athletes from all over the world. It provides us with the ideal chance to test ourselves against cricket’s best players.”
Eoin Morgan, the captain of England who won the 2019 ODI World Cup, and Kieron Pollard, the franchise’s Icon player, have both joined. The franchise has recruited two Category A players, Paul Stirling of Ireland and Azam Khan of Pakistan.
Upon discussing the additions, Sagar stated: “Eoin Morgan and Kieron Pollard are two of the most well-known figures in white-ball cricket. Both are incredibly dangerous athletes, and we have no doubt that our camp will benefit greatly from their leadership abilities in the future. We appreciate the idea that Pollard and Morgan both inspire dread in the minds of the opposing team.”
Chairman of T10 Sports Management, Shaji-ul-Mulk, added, “I’m thrilled to have the American New York Strikers team join our Abu Dhabi T10 family. Our goal was to increase the 342 million global broadcast viewers we currently have and make the Abu Dhabi T10 one of the premier events on the international cricket calendar. As cricket’s shortest format develops quickly, we are able to expand on the success of the competition with the addition of the two new American teams. As we embark on our sixth season, which begins on November 23, we look forward to cooperating closely with Sagar Khanna and his crew.”
